" I was absolutely blown away by the class and have never felt so in touch with my body. Everything seemed to fall into place after the class and I felt like something in my mind and body had shifted, which was an unbelievable feeling. I felt incredibly lucky to have been there that day and to have been taught by Molly "

A wee bit about me...
Hiya, I'm Molly — a longtime Glasgow Southsider and yoga teacher. After spending the past two years teaching in London, moving back and forth between there and Glasgow, I’ve finally made the move home. While I’m incredibly grateful for my time in London, the pace of city life eventually led to burnout and a strong pull to return to my roots here in Glasgow (after a wee stretch travelling around Sri Lanka) — to slow down, reconnect, and teach from a more grounded, spacious place. My Approach
In my classes, expect movement that feels good rather than looks perfect. We explore functional yoga—that means tuning into your body, not twisting yourself into a pretzel for Instagram.I’m all about rediscovering your inner child: falling over is encouraged, laughing at yourself is celebrated, and taking life too seriously is strictly optional. If you leave class freer, lighter, and a little more you, that’s the magic.Rooted in Heritage
Yogic philosophy sits at the heart of my classes, particularly the concept of LILA (lee-lah) — divine play — which informs my belief that practice should feel exploratory, compassionate, and alive rather than something to perfect or achieve. My Scottish heritage deeply shapes my teaching. The Gaelic word SAORSA (say-or-sah) means freedom or liberation, and that’s the heart of my practice. Freedom to move. Freedom to play. Freedom to be unapologetically you.

Each month, my classes are centred around a theme. This may come from yogic philosophy, seasonal shifts, or something I am currently exploring in my own practice/ season of life.We usually work with these themed flows for around six weeks, gradually building up the asanas (postures) over time while also exploring and deepening our understanding of the philosophy behind the practice.

Reiki Training - Calm and Chaos with Jade Mordente
a weekend nestled in leith studying the ancient practice of reiki

I fell into a reiki session on a retreat I recently attended and had very wrongly assumed that it wasn't for me, or something that felt a little to far fetched to actually work.I came across Jade at Calm and Chaos like any Gen Z, on instagram. Her studio is beautiful, cozy yet clean and minimal, filled with crystals and the most magical scents you have ever sniffed.Reiki - Rei (universal) & Ki (lifeforce) comes from Japan, being passed down through families as a way of healing from the home. I was so surprised by how many ideas and belief systems between my yogic studies, which mainly come from an indian roots, cross over here with Reiki and Japanese studies.Unlike Western cultures, these holistic ways of healing are passed down through families orally. It was mainly kept that way until Mikao Usui spread his knowledge far and wide in the early 1900's.Myself and 3 other practictioners spent 2 days doing our level 1 and 2 training.

On day one, we focused on the self, our attunement and opening up our pathways for Reiki energy to flow through us. We stopped for an incredible lunch just around the corner at La Seine. Jade had provided us with a never-ending flow of snacks and teas, as well as wee gift set from Neal's Yard.On day two, it was easy to land. We knew the group, we felt at ease with one another. We talked about the Reiki symbols, running a business, and then we meditated on our 2nd attunement. The whole afternoon was spent practising Reiki on one another in the massage bed, with crystals and oils.It was an unbelievably healing experience, and I couldn't be more grateful to Jade for sharing her expertise with us. I highly recommend popping over to her studio in Leith for a session and stopping at Mr Eoin for a coffee afterwards.
